I went for one today, and the feelings of loneliness, regret and despair are all still there, I feel no different.

They can be relaxing at the time and help you loosen up but they aren’t a long-term solution

To put it simply, Indian head massage therapists believe that when the energy does not flow around the body properly, negative energy builds up causing conditions such as stress, pain, baldness or hair loss.  The massaging of the head corrects the energy flow and in doing so, helps to treat the conditions listed above.  It is such a safe treatment that in India newly delivered mothers and their babies are routinely treated with Indian head massage for the 40 days after delivery!

 

Many benefits of massage therapy derive from its function of restoring normal circulation to the area being manipulated.  However, other benefits have been observed which have to do with another very important function of massage therapy, and that is relaxation. The stroking and kneading stimulate nerves in the skin and muscles which in turn stimulate sites in the brain which produce “feel good” chemicals, triggering a relaxation response. And in a state of relaxation, the body begins to rebuild, restore, and replenish itself.

 

The benefits of Indian head massage are now becoming more widely known in the West, with the therapy even being offered in high street beauty salons.  However, if you have a little time to invest, you may consider learning this ancient therapy at home.  Use it to treat stressed partners or anxious children worrying about exams, and you should notice an increased sense of calm about them. 

 

Then, like those Indian mothers, teach the therapy to your children and pass the skill down the family line!

How Much Would An 1881 Indian Head Penny In Fair Condition Be Worth?

im just curious about the price of an 1881 indian head penny

Depends on what you call fair condition. Fair according to redbook means you have an $8 cent.

Here’s the ballpark if you’re doing your own grading:
Good condition: $5 to proof condition $325.

Value is largely dependent on condition, mint marks and the number of coins available.

1 – Take your coin to a local coin dealer (trustworthy ones can be found – shop around). It never hurts to get a second opinion. They will be able to tell you so much more by evaluation the condition of the coins. They will also know the amount minted and what it is going for in today’s market.

P.S. You should not clean your coins. Most coin collectors see cleaning a coin as the equivalent of stripping down antique furniture and refinishing it.

When cleaning, the surface metal of the coin is often stripped. Anything used to scrub the coin will leave scratches (even 100% pure silk will leave hairline scratches). Most cleaning products will have some type of reaction with the coin’s metal and the surface metal can also be removed in this manner.

Your best bet is to leave the coins alone. Cleaning the coin will leave traces – which can be found by the knowledgeable collector – who in turn will not buy the cleaned coin. Also if you ever wanted to send your coin into a grading company, they can recognize signs of cleaning and will send your coin back in a “cleaned” slab (also called a “body bag” in the coin world) – which is usually a greatly decreased value.

If you absolutely must must must clean your coins do not use the method described above as it will react with the metal in your coin. Use 100% acetone (do not use fingernail polish remover!). It must be 100% pure because other additives will react with the coin metal. Place your coin(s) in the solution for several minutes (do not leave in for long periods of time). Rinse your coin(s) in distilled water. Next remove your coins and either pat dry with a soft cloth or allow the coin to air dry (air drying is better as you don’t risk scratching the coin with the cloth). NEVER scrub your coins!

I would still advise you to leave your coins as they are. They may not be bright and shiny but that is what most collectors prefer.
