Why did Buddha take a step ahead of other religions and preach mercy towards even animals?

He did not stop with humans but went even further and preached compassion towards even animals and educated people that killing even an animal is wrong

How will you stand up to that ideology of mercy which i believe is so humane?

There are those who interpret Paul’s statement in Colossians 1:15-20 in a very broad context:

“15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. 16 For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him. 17 And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together. 18 And he is the head of the body, the church. He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in everything he might be preeminent. 19 For in him all the fullness of God was pleased to dwell, 20 and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether on earth or in heaven, making peace by the blood of his cross.”

It is suggested here that Christ’s death and resurrection is a “Cosmic” healing, reconciling not just human beings but “All things” in heaven and earth to God. If these verses are understood less anthropocentrically, and more universally and cosmically – there is indeed the basis for a Christian “ecology” that includes humane treatment of animals since Christ, according to these verses, is the priniciple which underwrites and upholds the universe ( “in him all things hold together”). One must assume that means the environment, animals, indeed, the whole of creation.

These verses are mythic of course but they do more than just imply a cosmic vision of redemption of which human beings are just one part, but not the whole object. There can be no “healing” for ourselves without restoring and healing the damage in nature of which we are a part. It is very interesting that Christ has much in common with Gaia (neo-pagan sense) in these verses!

What will happen when Buddha standing before God in the Last Judgment, being thrown into hell?

I know it is super offensive, but I do not have anything against Buddhist, I am just too curious. Maybe buddhists can share their view?

Well, according to Christianity, everyone is going to hell if you didn’t accept Christ, so Buddha must face God in the Judgment day, will he be thrown into hell and being burnt/ suffer forever?
Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham (Buddha) was born, I am.

Abraham was WAY older than Buddha.

In a predominated Christian’s environment, I think I am getting a lot of “Thumb Downs”, but I can tell you the truth and only truth. The question is dumb, but answer will be very simple.

If Buddha ever stands before God, God must prostrate before Buddha, because a less perfect being meeting a more perfect being, they must show respect in the spiritual realm.(As indicated in Sutra- Indra (God of thirty-three Heavens) and Brahma (Supreme God of Hiduism) and Maha-Deva (Highest God of all Form Realms) will always bowed to Buddha before any assemblies.)

So, what judgement, God is not qualitied to give Judgement to Buddha.

{Besides most likely canidate of Christian God is Brahma (He too claimed he created the world, there cannot be two claimed the same thing in such a small world. So they must be the same God- but Jewish were less cultured back then, so they gave more negative attributes to their God, which gave him pride with a bad attitude.)}

Some people who exhibited these qualities, Buddhists would just call them sentient beings- beings still subject to reincarnation, so he too will sink so low. Fortunately, God had also show sorrow by sending his son, not necessary for the world, but for repent his own crimes and make amend, so he has a way more to go in his heavenly realm.

Qualities of Buddha and his mental powers…

As to Buddha, he had stripe naked all of his negative emotions, and all of his attachments and emotions, strip of his ego self, afflictions, obscurations and other unwarranted minor consciousness, and that he is more like a Void and Emptiness that all conscious conceptions such as Hells or Heavens have no effects on him. Instead he is part of all things and he is nothing.

Buddha is Omni- potent {he is like a very precise scientist- he can teach you how to affect your life at any junctures of four times, the past, the present, the future and the one time.)}

He is Omni-conscious (he has perfect knowledge of all things, He knows all the natures of all beings and he is awared the affairs and events through countless ages forward and backward.)

And he is Omni-present, (when you seek his guidance and summon him, the moment you think of him, and he is in front of you ready to give lending hands- unfortunately most of you don’t have spiritual eyes to see.)

There are only three things a Buddha cannot do, and that is (1) He cannot change a Fixed Karma (an event is due to happened immediate). He cannot empty out or eliminate the entire Hells or other living realms all at once- because all sentient beings must subject to their own created karma).

And finally he cannot give salvation to all beings unconditionally, because they must have connections to him, either by praying, knowing, meeting, studying, chanting his name or mantra.

Of course Buddhas are way before any Gods ever existed, Shakyamuni Buddha is the fourth Buddha of this eon, and next Buddha to come is Metriya Bodhisattava, who is waiting in his Pureland, and the approaching times is calculated to be 56 Billions years+ from now.

Shakyamuni Buddha also mentioned there were minimum four other eons before this eons. Beat that for someone only created the world six thousand years ago?

We Buddhists talk about millions and Billions of years- in astrological numbers, where you Christians God decided to create the world and the Universe in mere six thousand years plus ago, and you have the nerve to talk about you guy are before Buddha? Your God is living ant’s life compare to Buddha, or compare intelligent is like ant to a man- way off….

If God is in Hell, then it is a still that super painful place, you can call it heaven if you want, because the name is just a symbol and is meaningless, but the concept is still apply. And Hells by any name are still Hells, because it is the concept of suffering.
