do chinese dwarf hamsters like critter baths??
i just bought some critter bath sand and a critter bath ceramic thingy but they don’t seem to like to flip around and clean themselves??
it says on it FOR DWARF HAMSTERS
Most hamsters will accept chinchilla/critter bath sand. If they don’t begin to use it after a weeks time, they may be one of the few who do not. Try encouraging them by sprinkling a bit of sand on their backs while they’re in the bath sand. If they still don’t roll in the sand, that’s ok, they’re still having fun digging and running around in it. It can even double as a potty though not intentionally.
Always monitor your hamsters while they’re playing in the sand. Some hamsters like to eat it and this can be fatal if they’ve eaten too much.
